Procto-Synalar N enthält als Wirkstoff Fluocinolonacetonid, ein Glukokortikoid (Nebennierenrindenhormon) das schwach entzündungshemmende, juckreizstillende, antiallergische sowie blutgefässabdichtende Eigenschaften besitzt. Eine zusätzliche Schmerzlinderung wird durch das Lokalanästhetikum Lidocain erreicht. Procto-Synalar N ist angezeigt bei Hämorrhoiden, Analekzemen, Mastdarmentzündungen (Proktitis), Juckreiz des Afters (Pruritus ani) sowie vor und nach proktologischen Operationen. Procto-Synalar N ist auf Verschreibung des Arztes zu verwenden.
Während der Behandlung mit Procto-Synalar N sollte auf regelmässigen und weichen Stuhlgang geachtet werden. Dazu tragen diätetische Massnahmen wie leichte Kost, abführende Nahrungsmittel und evtl. milde Abführmittel bei. Auch sollten hygienische Massnahmen wie kühle Waschungen, Reinigung des Afterbereiches mit Watte (nie mit Papier) eingehalten werden.
Procto-Synalar N darf bei tuberkulösen und syphilitischen sowie ursächlich durch Bakterien, Pilze oder Viren bestimmten Erkrankungen im Anwendungsbereich nicht eingesetzt werden.
Bei erwiesener Unverträglichkeit gegenüber den Wirkstoffen (Fluocinolonacetonid, Lidocainhydrochlorid) oder einem Bestandteil der Salbe (z.B. Methyl-Propyl-parahydroxybenzoat, Cetyl-/Stearylalkohol, Propylenglycol) oder Suppositorien darf das entsprechende Präparat nicht angewendet werden.
Säuglinge und Kinder unter 12 Jahren sind von der Behandlung mit Procto-Synalar N auszuschliessen, da bisher noch keine ausreichenden Erfahrungen über die Anwendung bei diesen Altersgruppen vorliegen.
Wenn eine Krankheit nicht innerhalb einiger Tage auf die Behandlung anspricht oder sich sogar verschlimmert, konsultieren Sie Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin; eine Allergie oder eine Infektion durch unempfindliche Keime können die Ursache sein. Teilen Sie ihm bzw. ihr ebenfalls mit, wenn allergische Hautreaktionen Juckreiz, Rötung, Bläschen oder eine starke Verdünnung der Haut und Verletzungen auftreten.
Bei Anwendung von Procto-Synalar N Salbe im Anogenitalbereich kann es aufgrund des Hilfsstoffs Paraffin bei gleichzeitiger Benutzung von Kondomen zu einer Minderung der Reissfestigkeit kommen.
Es ist darauf zu achten, dass Procto-Synalar N nicht ins Auge gelangt. Nach der Anwendung wird empfohlen, die Hände sorgfältig zu waschen.
Procto-Synalar N ist ein stark wirksames Arzneimittel. Überschreiten Sie nicht die vom Arzt bzw. von der Ärztin vorgeschriebene Behandlungsdauer, die normalerweise 2?3 Wochen beträgt, da sich sonst Hautschäden einstellen können.
Verwenden Sie Procto-Synalar N nur für Ihr jetziges Hautleiden, für das der Arzt bzw. die Ärztin es Ihnen verordnet hat, nicht aber für andere, spätere Hautkrankheiten, und geben Sie es nicht an andere Personen weiter.
Bei Anwendung der Salbe können Methyl- und Propylparahydroxybenzoat Überempfindlichkeitsreaktionen, auch Spätreaktionen, hervorrufen. Cetyl- und Stearylalkohol können örtlich begrenzte Hautreizungen (z.B. Kontaktdermatitis) hervorrufen. Propylenglykol kann Hautreizungen hervorrufen.
Informieren Sie auch Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker, bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Arzneimittel Medikamente (auch selbstgekaufte!) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden.
Es liegen keine hinreichenden Daten für die Anwendung von Procto-Synalar N bei Schwangeren vor. In Tierversuchen zeigten Glukokortikoide fruchtschädigende Wirkung. In der Schwangerschaft sollten grundsätzlich keine zur äusserlichen Anwendung bestimmten Präparate verwendet werden, welche Glukokortikoide enthalten. Sollte eine Behandlung zwingend notwendig sein, so sollte dies nur unter sorgfältiger Nutzen-Risiko-Abwägung erfolgen.
Wenn Sie schwanger sind oder es werden möchten, sollten Sie vorsichtshalber möglichst auf Arzneimittel verzichten und Procto-Synalar N nur anwenden, wenn es Ihr Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin ausdrücklich trotzdem verordnet.
Glukokortikoide gehen in die Muttermilch über. Procto-Synalar N sollte daher bei Frauen nicht angewendet werden. Ist eine Behandlung unerlässlich, darf Procto-Synalar N in der Stillzeit nur kurzfristig, nur auf kleinen Flächen und niemals auf den Brüsten angewendet werden.
Vor der Anwendung von Procto-Synalar N und nach jedem Stuhlgang muss die Analregion stets sorgfältig mit warmem Wasser und weichem Lappen bzw. Einmalwaschlappen ? möglichst ohne Seife ? gereinigt werden.
Procto-Synalar N Salbe: Soweit nicht anders verordnet, wird eine erbsengrosse Menge Procto-Synalar N Salbe 2?3mal täglich aufgetragen und leicht einmassiert. Wenn die Salbe im Darm angewendet werden muss, wird das beiliegende Ansatzrohr auf die Tube geschraubt und in den After eingeführt. Durch leichtes Drücken auf die Tube wird die entsprechende Salbenmenge in den Enddarm gebracht.
Procto-Synalar N Suppositorien: Soweit nicht anders verordnet, werden Procto-Synalar N Suppositorien morgens und abends nach dem Stuhlgang eingeführt.
Dauer der Anwendung: Die Dauer der Anwendung richtet sich nach dem Beschwerdebild und beträgt in der Regel nicht mehr als 2?3 Wochen.
Ändern Sie nicht von sich aus die verschriebene Dosierung des Arzneimittels. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.
Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Anwendung von Procto-Synalar N auftreten:
Selten: Lokale unerwünschte Wirkungen im Analbereich wie Reizungen der Haut, kurzfristiges Brennen, Jucken, Überempfindlichkeitsreaktionen wie z.B. allergische Hautreaktionen und Fieber und Sekundärinfektionen kommen. Nach längerfristiger Behandlung mit Procto-Synalar N über die empfohlene Behandlungsdauer hinaus kann das Auftreten von Hautatrophien (Dünnerwerden der Haut) im Anwendungsbereich nicht ausgeschlossen werden.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin informieren.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «verwendbar bis» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
Bewahren Sie Procto-Synalar N nicht in der Reichweite von Kindern auf.
Procto-Synalar N Suppositorien sollten nicht ? auch nicht kurzfristig ? über 30 °C aufbewahrt werden. Procto-Synalar N Salbe nicht über 25 °C lagern und nicht einfrieren.
Weitere Auskünfte erteilt Ihnen Ihr Arzt oder Apotheker, bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin. Diese Personen verfügen über die ausführliche Fachinformation.
