Rhin-X ist ein orales Schnupfenmittel. Es bringt die Schleimhaut zum Abschwellen. Durch die spezielle Beschaffung der Kapseln (verzögerte Wirkstoffabgabe) gelangen die Wirkstoffe nur langsam ins Blut und ermöglichen dadurch eine verlängerte Wirkungsdauer.
Rhin-X mildert die beim akuten Schnupfen auftretenden Beschwerden wie z.B. verstopfte Nase, übermäßige Sekretion, Juckreiz, Schwellungen der Nasen- und Nebenhöhlenschleimhäute und lindert allergisch bedingte Reiz- und Entzündungszustände des Nasen- und Rachenraumes (z.B. Heuschnupfen).
Falls eine Überempfindlichkeit gegenüber einem der Inhaltsstoffe gemäss Zusammensetzung bekannt ist, soll Rhin-X nicht eingenommen werden.
Dies gilt auch für Patientinnen und Patienten mit einem hohen Blutdruck, schnellem Puls (über 100 Schläge/Minute), anderen schweren Herz- und Kreislauferkrankungen, mit Zuckerkrankheit oder einer Schilddrüsenüberfunktion.
Rhin-X ist kontraindiziert bei Patientinnen und Patienten mit erhöhtem Innendruck des Auges (Grüner Star), vergrößerter Prostata mit Harnverhalten und Blasenhalsverschluss, Arteriosklerose, Epilepsie.
Rhin-X darf nicht zusammen mit MAO-Hemmern eingenommen werden.
Rhin-X soll Kindern unter 12 Jahren nicht verabreicht werden!
Vorsicht ist geboten bei Patientinnen und Patienten mit verengtem Magenausgang, mit Asthma, und bei Herzrhythmus- und/oder Leberfunktionsstörungen.
Ältere Menschen sollten Rhin-X nur nach Rücksprache mit dem Arzt bzw. der Ärztin verwenden.
Rhin-X kann die Wirkung von Beruhigungsmitteln, Schlafmitteln, Antidepressiva und Alkohol verstärken. Gleichzeitig verabreichte Arzneimittel können sich in ihrer Wirkung gegenseitig beeinflussen.
Rhin-X kann zu Schläfrigkeit führen und die allgemeine Reaktionsfähigkeit beeinträchtigen. Zusammen mit Alkohol können diese Effekte unvorhersehbar stark sein. Im Straßenverkehr und beim Bedienen von Maschinen ist deshalb Vorsicht geboten.
Rhin-X enthält einen Wirkstoff, der auf der Dopingliste aufgeführt ist.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker, bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin, wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte!) einnehmen oder äußerlich anwenden!
Wenn Sie schwanger sind oder stillen, sollten Sie Rhin-X nicht einnehmen.
Erwachsene und Jugendliche über 12 Jahren: 1 Kapsel morgens und abends unzerkaut mit etwas Wasser schlucken.
Halten Sie sich an die in der Packungsbeilage angegebene oder vom Arzt bzw. Ihrer Ärztin verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.
Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Einnahme von Rhin-X auftreten:
Häufig: Schläfrigkeit und Benommenheit.
Gelegentlich: Mundtrockenheit, Nervosität, Sehstörungen, Erhöhung des Augeninnendrucks, Übelkeit, Hitzegefühl, Schwindel, Herzrhythmusstörungen.
Selten: Kopfschmerzen, Verwirrtheit und Erregtheit.
Sehr selten: Hautausschläge, Blutzellschäden.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin informieren.
Das Arzneimittel in der Originalpackung, außerhalb der Reichweite von Kindern, trocken und bei Raumtemperatur (15-25 °C) aufbewahren.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «Exp.» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
