Rinoral dient zur Linderung der Beschwerden bei Schnupfen mit verstopfter Nase, bei Heuschnupfen oder anderen allergisch bedingten Reiz- und Entzündungszuständen des Nasen- Rachen-Raumes, bei Schnupfen durch Reizung der Gefässnerven sowie bei Schwellungszuständen der Ohrtrompete, die als Begleiterscheinung auftreten.
Bei bekannter Überempfindlichkeit auf einen der Inhaltsstoffe. Bei ausgeprägtem Bluthochdruck oder erheblicher krankhafter Veränderung der Herzkranzgefässe. Bei gleichzeitig oder nicht länger als 2 Wochen zurückliegender Behandlung mit Mitteln gegen Schwermut (Antidepressiva) der Gruppe der MAO-Hemmer.
Bei Kindern unter 12 Jahren.
Bei Bluthochdruck, Herzkreislauferkrankungen, Überfunktion der Schilddrüse, erhöhtem Innendruck des Auges (Glaukoma) und Vergrösserung der Prostata; bei Diabetes mellitus und bei Patienten über 65 Jahren wird von einer Einnahme von Rinoral abgeraten. Es darf in diesen Fällen nur unter ärztlicher Kontrolle eingenommen werden. Auch bei gleichzeitiger Behandlung mit Arzneimitteln gegen Bluthochdruck, Digitalispräparaten und Antidepressiva darf Rinoral nicht ohne ärztliche Beratung und Kontrolle eingenommen werden.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin, wenn Sie an andern Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden!
Rinoral soll während der Schwangerschaft (besonders in den ersten 3 Schwangerschaftsmonaten) wegen seiner gefässverengenden Wirkung nicht angewendet werden.
Vorsichtshalber sollten Sie während der Schwangerschaft und Stillzeit möglichst auf Arzneimittel verzichten oder den Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. die Ärztin oder Apothekerin um Rat fragen.
Das Präparat soll aufgrund des enthaltenen Hilfsstoffes Dibutylphthalat während der Schwangerschaft oder Stillzeit nur angewendet werden, wenn dies der Arzt bzw. die Ärztin oder das Fachpersonal ausdrücklich verordnet hat.
Erwachsene und Jugendliche über 12 Jahren: 2-mal täglich 1 Retardkapsel mit etwas Flüssigkeit einnehmen.
1 Kapsel morgens und 1 abends ist ratsam.
Halten Sie sich an die in der Packungsbeilage angegebene oder vom Arzt oder der Ärztin verschriebene Dosierung.
Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark oder falls die Beschwerden innerhalb von 7 Tagen nicht nachlassen und zusätzlich Fieber auftritt, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.
Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Einnahme von Rinoral auftreten: Gelegentlich Mundtrockenheit, Appetitlosigkeit, Unruhe, Schlaflosigkeit, Pulsbeschleunigung und Herzklopfen. Meist sind diese Erscheinungen leichter Art und verschwinden im Laufe der Behandlung. Sehr selten wurde über Hautausschläge und Dickdarmentzündung berichtet. Gegebenenfalls wird Ihr Arzt oder Ihre Ärztin entscheiden, ob eine Verringerung der Dosis oder ein Absetzen des Präparates erforderlich ist.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin informieren.
Arzneimittel sollen für Kinder unerreichbar aufbewahrt werden.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf der Packung mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
Bei Raumtemperatur (15?25 °C) lagern.
