+-Was ist Rozex Gel und wann wird es angewendet?

Rozex Gel wirkt gegen eine Vielzahl von Krankheitserregern; speziell richtet sich die Wirksubstanz Metronidazol gegen Protozoen (Einzeller) und Bakterien. Auf Verschreibung des Arztes bzw. der Ärztin wird es angewendet zur lokalen Behandlung von entzündlichen Papeln und Pusteln und bei Rosacea (Acne rosacea) (Rötung im Gesicht und/oder Knollennase).

+-Wann darf Rozex Gel nicht angewendet werden?

-Rozex Gel sollte bei Kindern nicht angewendet werden.

-Rozex Gel ist ein Nitroimidazolpräparat.

-Bei bekannter Überempfindlichkeit gegenüber Nitroimidazolen, dem Konservierungsmittel Paraben oder einem anderen Bestandteil sollte das Gel nicht angewendet werden.

-Bei Patienten, deren Blutbild kürzlich nicht in Ordnung war, oder nicht in Ordnung ist, sollte das Präparat vorsichtig eingesetzt werden.

Wenn Sie auf einen der Inhaltsstoffe empfindlich (allergisch) reagieren, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin informieren.

+-Wann ist bei der Anwendung von Rozex Gel Vorsicht geboten?

Rozex Gel sollte weder in noch um die Augen angewendet werden; tränende Augen können so verhütet werden.

Für ältere Leute gelten keine speziellen Einschränkungen.

Treten lokale Reizungen auf, ist die Anwendungshäufigkeit zu reduzieren oder das Präparat vorübergehend abzusetzen. Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin. Patienten bzw. Patientinnen, die Blutverdünnungspräparate zur Verzögerung der Blutgerinnung benötigen, sollten nur mit Vorsicht mit Rozex Gel behandelt werden.

Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin, wenn Sie

-an anderen Krankheiten leiden,

-Allergien haben oder

-andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden.

+-Darf Rozex Gel während einer Schwangerschaft oder in der Stillzeit angewendet werden?

Während der Schwangerschaft und Stillzeit sollte Metronidazol nur auf ausdrückliche Verordnung des Arztes bzw. der Ärztin angewendet werden.

+-Wie verwenden Sie Rozex Gel?

Vor der Therapie sollte die erkrankte Haut sorgfältig gewaschen und getrocknet werden. Anschliessend wird auf die betroffenen Stellen ein dünner Film Rozex Gel aufgetragen und eingerieben. Die Behandlung erfolgt, sofern vom Arzt bzw. von der Ärztin nicht anders verordnet, 2 mal täglich morgens und abends.

Ändern Sie nicht von sich aus die verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.

+-Welche Nebenwirkungen kann Rozex Gel haben?

Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Anwendung von Rozex Gel auftreten:

Die unerwünschten Wirkungen nach lokaler Anwendung sind vor allem tränende Augen (wenn das Gel zu nahe den Augen verwendet wird), sowie vorübergehende Rötung, Austrocknung und Reizung der Haut sowie Brenngefühl.

Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin informieren.

+-Was ist ferner zu beachten?

Das Arzneimittel sollte bei Raumtemperatur (15?25 °C) und ausser Reichweite von Kindern aufbewahrt werden. Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «Verwendbar bis» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
