Schmids Rheuma-Crème enthält Arnikatinktur, ätherische Öle (Rosmarinöl, Eukalyptusöl, Wintergrünöl, Medizinal-Terpentinöl) sowie natürlicher Campher als Wirkstoffe.
Schmids Rheuma-Crème kann angewendet werden bei Schmerzen und Entzündungen der Gelenke, Muskeln, Bänder und Sehnen wie z.B. Muskelverspannungen, Muskelkater, Nackensteife, Rückenschmerzen, Hexenschuss, Sehnenscheidenentzündungen. Ausserdem bei schmerzhaften stumpfen Verletzungen wie Verstauchungen, Quetschungen, Prellungen, Zerrungen, Blutergüssen, Schwellungen. Soweit der Arzt bzw. die Ärztin es gestattet auch als unterstützende Massnahme bei Rheuma, Arthritis, Arthrose und Gicht.
Schmids Rheuma-Crème darf nicht angewendet werden bei Kindern und Jugendlichen, auf offenen Wunden, auf geschädigter Haut (Sonnenbrand, Ekzeme etc.) sowie bei bekannter Allergie (Überempfindlichkeit) gegen Arnika, Medizinal-Terpentin oder einen anderen Inhaltsstoff (siehe Zusammensetzung).
Vorsicht ist geboten bei bekannter Allergie gegen andere Pflanzen (wie Kamille, Schafgarbe, Ringelblume). Schmids Rheuma-Crème nicht ins Auge oder auf Schleimhäute bringen. Nach jeder Anwendung Hände gut waschen.
Patientinnen und Patienten mit Niereninsuffizienz sollten das Präparat nicht über längere Zeit (länger als 2-3 Wochen) anwenden!
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin, wenn Sie
- an anderen Krankheiten leiden
- Allergien haben oder
- andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden.
Während der Schwangerschaft und Stillzeit darf Schmids Rheuma-Crème nicht angewendet werden, es sei denn kurzfristig, nicht grossflächig und nur auf ärztliche Verschreibung.
Soweit vom Arzt bzw. der Ärztin nicht anders verschrieben: ein 5-10 cm langer Salbenstrang 1-2 mal täglich auf die zu behandelnde Stelle leicht einmassieren.
Die Anwendung und Sicherheit von Schmids Rheuma-Crème bei Kindern und Jugendlichen ist bisher nicht geprüft worden.
Halten Sie sich an die in der Packungsbeilage angegebene oder vom Arzt bzw. von der Ärztin verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin.
Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Anwendung von Schmids Rheuma-Crème auftreten:
Gelegentlich allergische Reaktionen (z.B. in Form von starker Hautrötung mit Hautjucken). Beim Auftreten solcher Symptome ist die Behandlung abzubrechen und ein Arzt bzw. eine Ärztin aufzusuchen.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin informieren.
Arzneimittel nicht in Reichweite von Kindern aufbewahren. Schmids Rheuma-Crème bei Raumtemperatur (15-25 °C) aufbewahren.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.

1 Gramm Crème enthält:
100 mg Arnikatinktur, Droge-Extraktionsmittel 1:9, Auszugsmittel Alkohol 70%, 40 mg natürlicher Campher, 40 mg Rosmarinöl, 40 mg Eukalyptusöl, 40 mg Wintergrünöl, 40 mg Medizinal-Terpentinöl.
Dieses Präparat enthält zusätzlich Hilfsstoffe sowie die Konservierungsmittel Propyl-4-hydroxybenzoat (E 216), Methyl-4-hydroxybenzoat (E 218) und Imidazolidinylharnstoff.
