Sebolox Shampoo ist ein Haarbodentherapeutikum mit dem Wirkstoff Miconazolnitrat.
Miconazolnitrat wirkt gegen die krankhaft gesteigerte Schuppenproduktion der Kopfhaut, die durch eine Pilzinfektion verursacht wird, und beseitigt damit gleichzeitig den Juckreiz und andere Begleiterscheinungen der Kopfhautinfektion wie Rötungen, Entzündungserscheinungen, Papeln und Krustenbildung sowie Ekzeme. Es verhindert so die Ausdehnung des Befalls auf weitere Hautflächen.
Bei bekannter Überempfindlichkeit gegenüber dem Wirkstoff oder einem der Hilfsstoffe von Sebolox Shampoo darf das Präparat nicht angewendet werden. Symptome einer Überempfindlichkeit sind Juckreiz oder Rötung der Haut, die nach der Anwendung erscheinen. Bei bestimmungsgemässem Gebrauch sind bis heute keine anderen Anwendungseinschränkungen bekannt.
Sebolox Shampoo sollte nicht in die Augen bzw. auf Schleimhäute gelangen. Falls dies trotzdem passiert, Augen bzw. Schleimhaut gründlich mit Wasser spülen. Vor Anwendung bei Kindern unter 12 Jahren sollte der Arzt oder die Ärztin konsultiert werden. Bei grossflächigen Hautveränderungen, offenen Wunden und Verdacht auf andere Hauterkrankungen sollte Sebolox Shampoo nicht angewendet und ein Arzt bzw. eine Ärztin konsultiert werden.

Wenn Sie schwanger sind oder es werden möchten sowie in der Stillzeit darf Sebolox Shampoo nur nach Rücksprache mit dem Arzt oder der Ärztin angewendet werden.
Falls vom Arzt nicht anders verordnet, wenden Sie Sebolox Shampoo wie folgt an:
Zweimal wöchentlich, je nach Schwere der Erkrankung während 2-4 Wochen. Haar und Haarboden gut anfeuchten. Sebolox Shampoo entsprechend einer Menge von 2 Kaffeelöffeln (ca. 10 ml) auftragen, das Haar gut einschäumen und das Shampoo während 3-5, maximal 10 Minuten einwirken lassen. Danach Haare und Kopfhaut gründlich und mit reichlich Wasser spülen. Brechen Sie die Behandlung nach erfolgreichem Beginn nicht zu früh ab.
Ändern Sie nicht von sich aus die verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.
Sebolox Shampoo soll nicht bei Kindern unter 12 Jahren angewendet werden.
Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Anwendung von Sebolox Shampoo auftreten: Sebolox kann auf der Kopfhaut ein Spannungsgefühl erzeugen, ausserdem kann Hautausschlag, Juckreiz bzw. Brennen auftreten. Das Haar kann sich trocken, spröde oder fettig anfühlen.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin informieren.
Ausser Reichweite von Kindern aufbewahren.
Im Originalbehälter bei Raumtemperatur (15-25°C) lagern.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behältnis mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
