oder dem Medikamenten-Taxi nach einer Online Sprechstunde, falls gewünscht.
Siccaprotect wird bei leichten Reizungen des Auges sowie zur Befeuchtung der Augen angewendet. Der Wirkstoff Dexpanthenol wirkt lindernd und zellaufbauend auf Augenhornhaut und Bindehaut, so dass leichte Reizungen vermindert bzw. verhindert werden können.
Der zweite Wirkstoff, Polyvinylalkohol, erhöht die Viskosität (Zähflüssigkeit) der Augentropfen und bildet dadurch einen langhaftenden Schutzfilm.
Während der Anwendung von Siccaprotect sollten keine weichen (hydrophilen) Kontaktlinsen getragen werden.
Siccaprotect darf bei Überempfindlichkeit auf einen der Bestandteile nicht angewendet werden.
Wenn nach einer Anwendung von 2-3 Tagen keine Besserung eingetreten ist, ist ein Arzt oder eine Ärztin aufzusuchen. Bei andauernden und schweren Fällen von Augenreizungen, besonders bei Trägern harter Kontaktlinsen, ist grundsätzlich eine augenärztliche Kontrolle notwendig.
Kommt es zu einer Verschlechterung oder treten neue Beschwerden auf, z.B. eine Abnahme der Sehschärfe, ist unverzüglich ein Arzt oder eine Ärztin aufzusuchen.
Wenn Sie an grünem Star (Glaukom) leiden, nicht ohne ärztliche Überwachung verwenden.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin, wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte!) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden!.
Auf Grund der bisherigen Erfahrungen und der spezifischen Wirkungsweise ist bei bestimmungsgemässer Anwendung kein Risiko für das Kind bekannt. Systematische wissenschaftliche Untersuchungen wurden aber nicht durchgeführt. Vorsichtshalber sollten Sie während der Schwangerschaft und Stillzeit möglichst auf Arzneimittel verzichten oder den Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. die Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin um Rat fragen.
Erwachsene: Soweit vom Arzt oder der Ärztin nicht anders verordnet, 5 mal täglich 1 Tropfen in den Bindehautsack eintropfen. Verteilen Sie die Anwendung von Siccaprotect gleichmässig über den Tag.
Die Anwendung und Sicherheit von Siccaprotect bei Kindern und Jugendlichen ist bisher nicht geprüft worden.
Sollten Sie ausser Siccaprotect noch andere Augentropfen verwenden, warten Sie bitte zwischen den Anwendungen mindestens 15-20 Minuten. Augentropfen sollten grundsätzlich so angewendet werden, dass ein Kontakt des Tropfers mit dem Auge oder der Gesichtshaut vermieden wird. Schrauben Sie die Schutzkappe ab, legen Sie den Kopf etwas zurück, ziehen Sie das Unterlid etwas vom Auge ab und bringen Sie durch leichten Druck auf das Fläschchen einen Tropfen in den Bindehautsack ein. Schliessen Sie langsam die Augenlider. Nach Gebrauch soll das Tropffläschchen wieder sorgfältig verschlossen werden.
Halten Sie sich an die in dieser Packungsbeilage angegebene oder vom Arzt oder der Ärztin verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihrer Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin.
Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Anwendung bei Siccaprotect auftreten: lokale Reizungen und Überempfindlichkeitsreaktionen.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin informieren.
Siccaprotect ist in der verschlossenen Originalpackung bei Raumtemperatur (15-25 °C) und ausserhalb der Reichweite von Kindern aufzubewahren. Es darf nur bis zu dem auf der Faltschachtel und Etikette mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden. Nach dem Öffnen des Fläschchens darf Siccaprotect nicht länger als 1 Monat verwendet werden.
