+-Was ist Solmucalm Erkältungshusten und wann wird es angewendet?

Solmucalm Erkältungshusten ist ein Hustensirup mit zwei Wirkstoffen: N-Acetylcystein, ein schleimlösendes Mittel, das die zähflüssigen Absonderungen verdünnt, sodass sie leichter auszuhusten sind, und Chlorphenamin, eine Substanz mit beruhigender Wirkung, die gleichzeitig allergische Erscheinungen mildert.

Solmucalm Erkältungshusten, Sirup für Kinder/Erwachsene eignet sich deshalb zur Behandlung von Erkältungshusten.

+-Was sollte dazu beachtet werden?

Das Trinken von reichlich Flüssigkeit verstärkt die Wirkung des Solmucalm Erkältungshusten Sirups. Weil das Rauchen zu einer übermässigen Ansammlung des Bronchialschleimes beiträgt, können Sie die Wirkung des Sirups unterstützen, indem Sie auf das Rauchen verzichten.

Solmucalm Erkältungshusten enthält keinen Zucker, sondern Lycasin 80/55, einen zuckerfreien und zahnschonenden Süsstoff, der auch für Diabetiker geeignet ist. Der Kaloriengehalt von 5 ml Kindersirup beträgt 10 kcal (42 kJ), derjenige von 10 ml Sirup für Erwachsene 20 kcal (84 kJ).

+-Wann darf Solmucalm Erkältungshusten nicht angewendet werden?

Wenn Sie auf einen Bestandteil des Arzneimittels empfindlich sind, an Magengeschwüren oder Glaukom (erhöhter Augeninnendruck) leiden oder Schwierigkeiten beim Wasserlassen haben, im Falle eines akuten Asthmaanfalles, des Auftretens von Überempfindlichkeitsreaktionen (siehe «Welche Nebenwirkungen kann Solmucalm Erkältungshusten haben?») oder der gleichzeitigen Behandlung und bis 2 Wochen nach Ende der Behandlung mit bestimmten Arzneimitteln gegen Depressionen (MAO-Hemmer genannt).

Ihr Arzt oder Ihre Ärztin weiss, was in solchen Fällen zu tun ist.

Ausserdem darf Solmucalm Erkältungshusten während der Schwangerschaft und während der Stillzeit nicht verwendet werden (siehe «Darf Solmucalm Erkältungshusten während einer Schwangerschaft oder in der Stillzeit eingenommen werden?»).

Da bei Kleinkindern keine Erfahrungen vorliegen, darf Solmucalm Erkältungshusten nicht an Kinder unter 3 Jahren abgegeben werden.

Falls Sie an sehr hohem Blutdruck, Herzkreislauferkrankungen oder Epilepsie leiden, fragen Sie bitte vorher Ihren Arzt oder Ihre Ärztin.

+-Wann ist bei der Einnahme von Solmucalm Erkältungshusten Vorsicht geboten?

Als Vorsichtsmassnahme sollten Sie Ihren Arzt oder Ihre Ärztin benachrichtigen, wenn bei Ihnen die Gefahr von Magen-Darmblutungen (latente Geschwüre, Varizen in der Speiseröhre) besteht, da Solmucalm Erkältungshusten Erbrechen verursachen kann. Es ist auch wichtig ihn zu informieren, wenn Sie an Bronchialasthma, an Bluthochdruck oder an anderen Erkrankungen des Respirationstraktes, des Herzens, der Blutgefässe oder der Schilddrüse leiden.

Sie sollten nicht gleichzeitig mit Solmucalm Erkältungshusten hustenstillende Arzneimittel einnehmen, weil diese Arzneimittel, durch zu starke Hemmung des Hustenreflexes, eine Stauung der Bronchien mit dem durch Solmucalm Erkältungshusten verflüssigten Schleim verursachen, und dadurch zu einem Krampf und zu einem erhöhten Infektionsrisiko der Atemwege führen können.

Dieses Arzneimittel kann die Reaktionsfähigkeit, die Fahrtüchtigkeit und die Fähigkeit, Werkzeuge oder Maschinen zu bedienen, beeinträchtigen! Dies gilt in besonderem Masse bei gleichzeitigem Genuss alkoholischer Getränke. Im Zweifelsfall sind diese Tätigkeiten zu unterlassen. Es wird daher empfohlen, während der Dauer der Behandlung auf alkoholische Getränke zu verzichten.

Des weiteren sollten Sie gewisse Antibiotika nicht gleichzeitig mit Solmucalm Erkältungshusten einnehmen, sondern in einem zeitlichen Abstand von mindestens 2 Stunden. Ihr Arzt oder Apotheker, bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin wird Ihnen erklären, bei welchen Antibiotika dies der Fall ist.

Da der Blutdruck leicht ansteigen kann, soll Solmucalm Erkältungshusten nicht zusammen mit Phenytoin (gegen Epilepsie) eingenommen werden.

Auch die Kombination mit folgenden Arzneimitteln ist zu vermeiden:

alle Arzneimittel, die Beruhigungsmittel des zentralen Nervensystems enthalten (z.B. codeinhaltige Hustenmittel oder Schmerzmittel, die Morphin oder Morphinderivate enthalten, Schlafmittel, Arzneimittel gegen hohen Blutdruck auf Clonidin-Basis usw.), weil sie die Müdigkeit verstärken können;
alle Arzneimittel, die Atropin oder atropinähnliche Substanzen enthalten (z.B. einige Arzneimittel gegen Depression, Parkinson und einige krampflösende Arzneimittel).

Bitte informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker, bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin, wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte!) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden.

+-Darf Solmucalm Erkältungshusten während einer Schwangerschaft oder in der Stillzeit eingenommen werden?

Wenn Sie voraussehen schwanger zu werden, wenn Sie schwanger sind oder wenn Sie stillen, sollten Sie auf die Einnahme von Arzneimitteln verzichten.

Es ist bekannt, dass die Einnahme von Solmucalm Erkältungshusten während dem letzten Schwangerschaftstrimester die Gesundheit des Fötus beeinträchtigen kann. Aus diesem Grund darf Solmucalm Erkältungshusten während der Schwangerschaft nicht eingenommen werden.

Solmucalm Erkältungshusten darf während der Stillzeit nicht eingenommen werden. Falls Sie dennoch auf ärztliche Verschreibung Solmucalm Erkältungshusten unbedingt einnehmen müssen, so müssen Sie auf das Stillen verzichten.

+-Wie verwenden Sie Solmucalm Erkältungshusten?

Falls der Arzt oder die Ärztin nichts anderes verordnet, werden folgende Dosierungen empfohlen:

Kinder von 3 bis 6 Jahren: 5 ml Kindersirup 3× am Tag.

Kinder von 6 bis 12 Jahren: 5 ml Kindersirup 3× am Tag; im Falle von ungenügendem Ansprechen auf die Therapie kann man die Dosierung auf 10 ml 3× am Tag erhöhen.

Erwachsene und Jugendliche über 12 Jahre: 10 ml Sirup für Erwachsene, 3× am Tag.

Um eine gute Verträglichkeit des Arzneimittels zu gewährleisten, ist es wichtig, diesen Empfehlungen zu folgen, da eine Überdosierung, das heisst die Gabe einer übermässigen Dosis, zu Nebenwirkungen führen kann. Kleinkinder sprechen besonders empfindlich auf Überdosierungen an.

Zubereitung des Sirups

Das Sicherheitssiegel entfernen und den Deckel nach unten schrauben bis das darin enthaltene Pulver in die Flasche fällt. Stark schütteln, bis die Lösung klar ist. Zur Arzneimitteleinnahme den Deckel abschrauben und die verschriebene Sirupmenge bis zur entsprechenden Markierung in den Messbecher einfüllen. Nach jeder Entnahme den Deckel wieder sorgfältig zuschrauben.

Es wird empfohlen, kein anderes Arzneimittel gleichzeitig mit Solmucalm Erkältungshusten einzunehmen. Der leichte Schwefelgeruch, der sich beim Öffnen der Flasche bemerkbar macht, vergeht rasch und hat keinerlei Einfluss auf die Wirksamkeit des Arzneimittels.

Bei Husten, der länger als 7 Tage anhält, muss ein Arzt, bzw. eine Ärztin beigezogen werden.

Halten Sie sich an die in der Packungsbeilage angegebene oder vom Arzt oder von der Ärztin verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker, bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.

+-Welche Nebenwirkungen kann Solmucalm Erkältungshusten haben?

Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Einnahme von Solmucalm Erkältungshusten auftreten:

häufig: Schläfrigkeit und Verminderung der Reaktionsfähigkeit (siehe «Wann ist bei der Einnahme von Solmucalm Erkältungshusten Vorsicht geboten?»);

gelegentlich: Magen-Darm-Störungen, wie Sodbrennen, Übelkeit, Erbrechen und Durchfall; im weiteren Mund-, Nasen- und Halstrockenheit, Verstopfung, Beschwerden beim Harnlassen, Sehstörungen (Akkommodationsstörungen), Erhöhung des Augeninnendrucks, Unruhe (besonders bei Kindern), Nervosität und Schlafstörungen;

selten: Kopfschmerzen, Fieber oder Ohrsausen.

Bei empfindlichen Personen können allergische Reaktionen vorkommen (Hautausschlag, Juckreiz, Pulsbeschleunigung, Atemstörungen, Bewusstseinsverlust).

In diesem Fall sollten Sie das Arzneimittel nicht mehr einnehmen und so rasch wie möglich mit Ihrem Arzt oder Ihrer Ärztin sprechen.

Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker, bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin informieren.

+-Was ist ferner zu beachten?

Die ungeöffnete Flasche Solmucalm Erkältungshusten enthält in der Lösung den Wirkstoff Chlorphenamin, der bei versehentlicher Einnahme schwerwiegende Nebenwirkungen, auch Vergiftungen, besonders bei Kleinkindern verursachen kann. Es ist also dringend nötig, dieses Arzneimittel ausser Kinderreichweite zu halten.

Bei Raumtemperatur (15?25 °C) lagern.

Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf der Packung mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden. Einmal zubereitet, ist der Sirup während 2 Wochen bei Raumtemperatur haltbar.

Bitte bringen Sie Arzneimittel, deren Verbrauchsfrist abgelaufen ist, in die Apotheke. Weitere Auskünfte erteilt Ihnen Ihr Arzt oder Apotheker, bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin; diese Personen verfügen über die ausführliche Fachinformation.

+-Was ist in Solmucalm Erkältungshusten enthalten?

10 ml Sirup für Erwachsene (Geschmack Aprikose/Tropical) enthalten:

Wirkstoffe: 200 mg N-Acetylcystein und 4 mg Chlorphenaminmaleat.

Hilfsstoffe: Aromastoffe, Konservierungsmittel (Kaliumsorbat E202 und Natriumbenzoat E211) sowie weitere Hilfsstoffe.

5 ml Sirup für Kinder (Geschmack Erdbeer/Himbeer) enthalten:

Wirkstoffe: 100 mg N-Acetylcystein und 2 mg Chlorphenaminmaleat.

Hilfsstoffe: Aromastoffe: Vanillin und andere, Konservierungsmittel (Kaliumsorbat E202 und Natriumbenzoat E211) sowie weitere Hilfsstoffe.

Hinweis: das N-Acetylcystein ist im Flaschendeckel enthalten, das Chlorphenaminmaleat in der in der Flasche enthaltenen Lösung.
