Spasmo-Canulase ist ein Medikament zur Normalisierung von gesteigerter oder ungenügender Darmtätigkeit. Die einzelnen Wirkstoffe sind in einem Bitab so kombiniert, dass sie ihre volle Wirkung im jeweils dafür bestimmten Abschnitt des Magen-Darmtrakts entfalten. Der schnell lösliche Mantel enthält Metixen, welches Krämpfe löst; Glutaminsäure, die Salzsäure im Magen freisetzt; Pepsin als wichtiges eiweissspaltendes Magenferment. Der magensaftresistente Kern enthält Verdauungsfermente und Gallensäure zur Verdauung von Eiweiss, Kohlenhydraten und Fett; Cellulase zum Abbau der unverdaulichen Cellulose und zur Verminderung der Gasbildung.
Mantel und Kern enthalten zudem Dimeticon, eine oberflächenaktive Substanz mit ausgeprägter Antischaumwirkung zur Bekämpfung von Blähungen.

Bei Überempfindlichkeit auf den Wirkstoff oder einen Hilfsstoff und bei schwerer Darmschlaffheit darf Spasmo-Canulase nicht eingenommen werden.
Wenn Sie an grünem Star (Glaukom), einer krankhaften Vergrösserung der Vorsteherdrüse (Prostata), schweren Leber- und Gallenblasenerkrankungen leiden, sollten Sie Spasmo-Canulase nur nach Anweisung des Arztes oder der Ärztin einnehmen.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin, wenn Sie
Spasmo-Canulase darf während der Schwangerschaft und Stillzeit nur auf ärztliche Verordnung eingenommen werden.
Wenn vom Arzt oder der Ärztin nicht anders verordnet, schlucken Erwachsene und Kinder ab 12 Jahren 1 Spasmo-Canulase Bitab unzerkaut zu Beginn der Mahlzeiten. Bei krampfartigen Beschwerden jeweils 2 Bitabs auf einmal.
Die Anwendung und Sicherheit von Spasmo-Canulase bei Kindern unter 12 Jahren ist bisher nicht geprüft worden.
Halten Sie sich an die in der Packungsbeilage angegebene oder vom Arzt oder der Ärztin verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.
Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Einnahme oder Anwendung von Spasmo-Canulase auftreten:
Gelegentlich leichte Mundtrockenheit und Störungen der Sehschärfe, die sich durch eine Verminderung der Dosis beseitigen lassen.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin informieren.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
Der mögliche starke Geruch des Bitabs ist normal und auf den Gehalt an natürlichen Fermenten zurückzuführen.
Wie jedes Arzneimittel ist Spasmo-Canulase ausserhalb der Reichweite von Kindern aufzubewahren.
Spasmo-Canulase ist in der Originalpackung bei Raumtemperatur (15-25 °C) aufzubewahren und vor Licht zu schützen.
