Telfast 180 ist ein Antihistaminikum. Es dient zur Behandlung von Urticaria (Nesselfieber), einer allergischen Hautkrankheit und wirkt gegen deren Krankheitszeichen wie Hautrötungen oder Juckreiz.
Telfast 180 wird auf Verschreibung des Arztes oder der Ärztin angewendet.
Personen mit einer bekannten Überempfindlichkeit auf einen der Bestandteile der Telfast Filmtabletten dürfen Telfast nicht einnehmen.
Kinder unter 12 Jahren dürfen Telfast 180 nicht einnehmen.

Spezielle Untersuchungen (z.B. Fahrtest) haben gezeigt, dass Telfast die Leistungs- und Konzentrationsfähigkeit in der Regel ebenso wenig beeinträchtigt und ebenso wenig müde oder schläfrig macht wie Placebo (Tabletten ohne Wirkstoff). Bei besonders empfindlichen Personen ist jedoch vorher die individuelle Reaktion auf Telfast zu überprüfen.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, allergisch sind, bereits andere Arzneimittel, zur interner oder externer Anwendung (Selbstmedikation) einnehmen.
Aufgrund der bisherigen Erfahrungen ist bei bestimmungsgemässer Anwendung kein Risiko für das Kind bekannt. Systematische wissenschaftliche Untersuchungen wurden aber nie durchgeführt. Während der Schwangerschaft und der Stillzeit sollen Sie Telfast nur auf ärztlichem Rat einnehmen.
Telfast 180: 1× 1 Filmtablette (180mg) täglich einnehmen (vorzugsweise morgens).
Ändern Sie nicht von sich aus die vorgeschriebene Dosierung. Wenden Sie sich nach Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker wenn Sie meinen, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark.
Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Einnahme oder Anwendung von Telfast auftreten:
Gelegentlich treten Kopfschmerzen, Müdigkeit, Schläfrigkeit, Übelkeit, Schwindel, selten Schlaflosigkeit, Nervosität, Schlafstörungen oder Alpträume auf. Die Häufigkeit dieser mit Telfast beobachteten Nebenwirkungen entspricht derjenigen die unter einer Behandlung mit Placebo (Tabletten ohne Wirkstoff) beobachtet wird.
In seltenen Fällen wurde über Hautausschläge, Nesselsucht, Juckreiz und über Überempfindlichkeitsreaktionen, die sich durch Ödeme (Wasseransammlung im Gewebe), Atemnot, Brustenge oder Hautrötung mit Hitzegefühl manifestieren, berichtet.

Telfast bei Raumtemperatur (15?25 °C) aufbewahren und vor Kindern sichern.
