VICKS Sinex ist eine Lösung zur Behandlung der geschwollenen Nasenschleimhaut, um bei Schnupfen die Atmung durch die Nasenwege zu erleichtern.
Der Schnupfenspray und das Schnupfenspray-Dosiersystem enthalten Oxymetazolin Hydrochlorid. In der Nase angewendet, verengt VICKS Sinex dort die Blutgefässe und bewirkt dadurch ein Abschwellen der Nasenschleimhaut. Damit wird die Atmung durch die Nase erleichtert und die Schleimsekretion vermindert. Die Wirkung setzt gewöhnlich innerhalb von 5?10 Minuten ein und hält ca. 6 Stunden an.
Es darf nicht angewendet werden bei Kindern unter 6 Jahren und im Falle von Überempfindlichkeit auf Oxymetazolin oder einen der sonstigen Inhaltsstoffe. Nicht anwenden bei Entzündung der Nasenschleimhaut (Rhinitis sicca), Entzündungen oder Hautschäden im Bereich der Nasenlöcher und bei Vorliegen eines Engwinkelglaukoms (grüner Star).
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin bei chronischen Nasenbeschwerden. VICKS Sinex darf ohne ärztliche Anweisung nicht länger als 5?7 Tage angewendet werden, da bei längerem Gebrauch eine Schädigung der Nasenschleimhaut oder eine Nasenschleimhautentzündung auftreten kann, mit Symptomen eines Schnupfens.
Nur mit Vorsicht anwenden bei Patienten, die mit bestimmten Arzneimitteln gegen Depressionen (MAO-Hemmern) behandelt werden oder innerhalb der letzten 2 Wochen behandelt wurden, bei Bluthochdruck, Herz-Kreislauf-Erkrankungen, Angina pectoris sowie bei Schilddrüsenüberfunktion und Zuckerkrankheit (Diabetes mellitus).
Dies gilt insbesondere bei Anwendung von Mitteln gegen Bluthochdruck, gegen psychische Erkrankungen und gegen die Parkinson-Krankheit.
Bei längerer Verwendung und höherer als der empfohlenen Dosierung kann die Fahrtüchtigkeit und die Fähigkeit zum Bedienen von Maschinen beeinträchtigt sein.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin, wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte!) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden!
Während der Schwangerschaft oder in der Stillzeit sollten Sie VICKS Sinex nur auf ausdrückliche Anordnung Ihres Arztes bzw. Ihrer Ärztin anwenden.
Erwachsene und Kinder ab 6 Jahre: Falls vom Arzt nicht anders verordnet, alle 6?8 Stunden 1?2-mal in jedes Nasenloch sprühen. Anwendungsdauer max. 5?7 Tage.
Nase gut reinigen. Flaschenöffnung leicht in das Nasenloch einführen. Flasche aufrecht halten, 1?2-mal kurz und kräftig zusammendrücken. Eingespritzte Lösung mit der Atemluft in die Nase einziehen. Der Luftraum in der Flasche ist zum einwandfreien Versprühen erforderlich.
Nase gut reinigen. Schutzkappe abnehmen. Sprühöffnung leicht in das Nasenloch einführen, 1?2 Sprühstösse auslösen und gleichzeitig Sprühnebel mit der Atemluft in die Nase einziehen.
VICKS Sinex darf nicht bei Säuglingen und Kindern unter 6 Jahren angewendet werden.
Bei einer Anwendung von länger als 7 Tagen muss ein Arzt bzw. eine Ärztin konsultiert werden.
Halten Sie sich an die in der Packungsbeilage angegebene oder vom Arzt oder der Ärztin verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin.
Gelegentlich Missempfindungen, Reizungen, Brennen und Trockenheit der Nasenschleimhaut, des Mundes und des Rachens, Niesen, Übelkeit, Kopfschmerz, Augenreizungen und -rötungen, Schlaflosigkeit, Nervosität, Zittern, Unruhe, Ängstlichkeit, Reizbarkeit, erhöhter Blutdruck, Pulsbeschleunigung oder Herzklopfen, Herzrhythmusstörungen (Unregelmässigkeit des Herzschlages), Störungen der Harnblasenentleerung, die nach Dosisreduzierung oder Absetzen jedoch vorübergehen. Gelegentlich, insbesondere nach Abklingen der Wirkung kann ein stärkeres Gefühl einer «verstopften Nase» und Wirkungsverlust auftreten.
Eine zeitlich begrenzte verstärkte Durchblutung der Nasenschleimhaut nach Abklingen der Wirkung kommt häufig vor.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin informieren.
Für Kinder unzugänglich aufbewahren. Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «Exp.» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
