Vita-Hexin ist eine Wundsalbe, die die Heilung von kleineren Wunden beschleunigt und leichten Infektionen vorbeugen oder sie bekämpfen kann.
Vita-Hexin enthält neben Zinkoxyd das Desinfektionsmittel Chlorhexidin. Weiterhin Vitamin A (Retinolum palmitas) und Lebertran (Oleum jecoris), welche die Bildung von neuem Gewebe beschleunigen.
Grossflächige, stark verschmutzte und tiefe Wunden, sowie Biss- und Stichwunden benötigen eine ärztliche Behandlung (Gefahr von Wundstarrkrampf). Bleibt der Umfang einer Wunde während einiger Zeit unverändert gross oder verheilt die Wunde nicht innerhalb von 10-14 Tagen, ist ebenfalls ein Arztbesuch erforderlich. Ebenso, wenn die Wundränder stark gerötet sind, die Wunde plötzlich anschwillt, stark schmerzhaft ist oder die Verletzung von Fieber begleitet wird (Gefahr einer Blutvergiftung).
Bei Überempfindlichkeit gegenüber einem Bestandteil der Wundsalbe soll Vita-Hexin nicht weiter verwendet werden.
Wenn Ihr Trommelfell beschädigt ist, dürfen Sie Vita-Hexin nicht im Ohr anwenden.
Vita-Hexin ist nur für den äusserlichen Gebrauch bestimmt.
Bei Kindern unter 2 Jahren darf das Präparat nur nach ärztlicher Verschreibung angewendet werden.
Vita-Hexin Salbe brennt in den Augen und auf Schleimhäuten, es soll deshalb mit Vorsicht in deren Umgebung angewendet werden.
Sollte versehentlich etwas Vita-Hexin Salbe ins Auge gelangen, spülen Sie bitte umgehend mit viel Wasser. Vita-Hexin sollte nicht zu häufig oder während einer längeren Zeit ohne ärztliche Anweisung angewendet werden (siehe auch unter «Was sollte dazu beachtet werden?»). Wenn Sie eine Hautreizung oder eine ungewöhnliche Empfindlichkeit feststellen, sollten Sie Vita-Hexin Salbe nicht mehr verwenden.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin, wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte!) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden!
Auf Grund der bisherigen Erfahrungen ist bei bestimmungsgemässer Anwendung kein Risiko für das Kind bekannt. Nicht auf grösseren Flächen anwenden. Systematische wissenschaftliche Untersuchungen wurden aber nie durchgeführt. Vorsichtshalber sollten Sie während der Schwangerschaft und Stillzeit möglichst auf Arzneimittel verzichten oder den Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. die Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin um Rat fragen.
Die Salbe in dünner Schicht direkt oder mit Hilfe eines sterilen Tupfers auf die gereinigte Wunde und/oder entzündete Hautstelleauftragen. Sie können jetzt die Wunde mit einem Pflaster oder Gaze abdecken oder aber auch offenlassen. Die Anwendung zwei- oder dreimal täglich wiederholen. Bei Kindern unter 2 Jahren darf das Präparat nur nach ärztlicher Verschreibung angewendet werden. Wenn Sie eine grössere Menge von Vita-Hexin angewendet haben, als Sie sollten, wenn Sie versehentlich Vita-Hexin eingenommen haben, kontaktieren Sie Ihren Arzt/Ihre Ärztin.
Halten Sie sich an die in der Packungsbeilage angegebene oder vom Arzt oder der Ärztin verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihrer Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin.
In seltenen Fällen können allergische Hautreaktionen sowie ein Brennen nach der Anwendung auftreten.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin informieren.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
Bei Raumtemperatur (15-25 °C) und ausser Reichweite von Kindern aufbewahren.
