Zofran beugt Formen von Übelkeit und Erbrechen vor, welche durch gewisse medizinische Behandlungen verursacht werden und darf nur auf ausdrückliche Verschreibung des Arztes bzw. der Ärztin hin eingenommen werden.
Zofran darf nie bei Übelkeit und Erbrechen angewendet werden, das nicht durch die oben genannte medizinische Behandlung ausgelöst wurde.
Es darf auch nicht zusammen mit Apomorphin (zur Behandlung von Parkinson) eingenommen werden.
Bei Überempfindlichkeit gegenüber Zofran darf dieses nicht eingenommen werden.
Zofran Zydis Lingualtabletten enthalten Aspartam. Wenn Sie an Phenylketonurie leiden, informieren Sie Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin. In diesem Fall ist die Einnahme der Filmtabletten vorzuziehen.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin, wenn Sie diese Arzneimittel einnehmen, wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder gleichzeitig andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte!) einnehmen.
Zofran sollte nicht während der Schwangerschaft und Stillzeit eingenommen werden. In gewissen Fällen jedoch kann der behandelnde Arzt oder die behandelnde Ärztin anders entscheiden.
Die Dosierung und die Therapiedauer werden vom Arzt oder der Ärztin festgelegt.
Filmtabletten/Zydis Lingualtabletten: 2mal täglich 1 Tablette zu 8 mg.
Sirup: 2mal täglich 2 Messlöffel (= 8 mg).
Filmtabletten/Zydis Lingualtabletten: 3mal täglich 1 Tablette à 4 mg oder 8 mg.
Sirup: 3mal täglich 1-2 Messlöffel (= 4 mg - 8 mg).
Die Zydis Lingualtablette wird auf die Zungenoberfläche gegeben, wo sie innert Sekunden zerfällt, um dann mit dem Speichel geschluckt zu werden.
Die Zydis Lingualtabletten dürfen nicht durch die Blisterfolie gedrückt werden. Vor der Einnahme muss jede einzelne Lingualtablette im Blister an der vorgegebenen Perforierung abgetrennt werden. Die Deckfolie wird an den mit Pfeilen markierten Stellen abgezogen und die Tablette vorsichtig aus dem Blister genommen.
Zofran darf bei Kindern unter 2 Jahren nicht verwendet werden.
Bei älteren Patienten und Patientinnen sowie bei Patienten und Patientinnen mit eingeschränkter Leberfunktion wird in der Regel eine niedrigere Dosierung verschrieben.
Ändern Sie nicht von sich aus die verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.
Am häufigsten wurde nach der Einnahme von Zofran über Kopfschmerzen sowie über Wärme- oder Hitzegefühl berichtet. Gelegentlich kann Verstopfung oder Schluckauf vorkommen. In solchen Fällen ist es nicht notwendig, mit der Einnahme von Zofran aufzuhören. Sie sollten jedoch Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin beim nächsten Besuch darüber informieren.
Gelegentlich wurde zusätzlich über Bewegungsstörungen und Herzbeschwerden berichtet.
In seltenen Fällen können ebenfalls Überempfindlichkeitsreaktionen oder Schwindelgefühl auftreten.
Selten kommt es zu Herzrhythmusstörungen (die manchmal zu einem plötzlichen Bewusstseinsverlust führen können).
Sehr selten kommt es zu einem grossflächigen Hautausschlag mit Blasenbildung und Hautablösung auf weiten Teilen der Körperoberfläche (toxische epidermale Nekrolyse).
Sollten diese Nebenwirkungen auftreten, so informieren Sie umgehend Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin.
Es gibt seltene Berichte über verschwommenes Sehen. Sehr selten kann eine vorübergehende Erblindung auftreten, die sich in der Regel innerhalb von 20 Minuten wieder löst.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin informieren.
Zofran ist unter 30 °C und ausserhalb der Reichweite von Kindern aufzubewahren. Zofran Sirup ist aufrecht zu lagern und darf nicht im Kühlschrank aufbewahrt werden.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf der Packung mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
Weitere Auskünfte erteilt Ihnen Ihr Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin, der/die über die ausführliche Fachinformation verfügt.
Zofran enthält Ondansetron als Wirkstoff.
Die Wirkstoffmenge von Filmtabletten und Zydis Lingualtabletten beträgt entweder 4 mg oder 8 mg.
Zydis Lingualtabletten enthalten Aspartam (E 951), Aromastoffe und Natriumpropyl- sowie Natriummethylhydroxybenzoat (E 217/E 219) als Konservierungsmittel.
Der Sirup enthält in 5 mL (= 1 Messlöffel) 4 mg Ondansetron, Aroma, Sorbitol (35,7 kJ/8,4 kcal pro 5 mL, entsprechend 0,21 Brotwert) sowie Natriumbenzoat (E 211) als Konservierungsstoff.
